Choral bursary

In November 2018, Paragon Singers launched a choral bursary designed to encourage and support young singers aged 17-25, currently in full or part-time education. The scholarship includes:

- Vocal technique and musicianship coaching

- Solo opportunities in concert

- The chance to observe rehearsals with professional ensembles

- A subsidised trip abroad

Paragon are delighted to announce that they have accepted two young singers on the inaugural scheme from January - July 2019:

Kira Thomas (mezzo-soprano)

Kira is a part-time Masters student studying Music Performance at Bath Spa University. She is a mezzo-soprano and has been singing in choirs since a young age, including having a choral scholarship with Levens Choir from 2012 until 2014.

Adam Lloyd

Adam is studying for an undergraduate degree at the University of Bristol, where he holds a choral scholarship at St Mary Redcliffe. In 2017 he began singing with Bristol Choral Society under Hilary Campbell. He studies voice (both countertenor and baritone) with Ian Yemm, and has been lucky to perform in venues including York Minster, Bath Abbey, the Colston Hall and Bristol Cathedral.
